Our Online SMSTS courses are delivered every Monday for five consecutive weeks, allowing delegates to complete the qualification around work commitments while benefiting from live tutor-led training.

What is this course about?
The Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is a CITB-approved course designed for site managers, project managers, and aspiring construction managers who are responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling, and administering construction sites safely. Delivered online in a live virtual classroom, the course allows delegates to achieve an industry-recognised qualification without the need to attend the training centre.

This course is intended for those responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, controlling and administering construction sites. It is designed for anyone with overall responsibility for managing health, safety, welfare and environmental issues on construction projects, ensuring legal compliance, reducing risk, and promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the workforce.
Qualification awarded
Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, delegates will receive the CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Certificate.
This nationally recognised qualification demonstrates that the holder has the knowledge and competence required to effectively manage health, safety, welfare and environmental responsibilities on construction sites in accordance with current legislation and industry best practice. The certificate is valid for five years, after which it can be renewed by successfully completing the CITB SMSTS Refresher course before the expiry date.
